with the

animals

During the 7 Days of Rest, we take time to honour the animals. We recognize them not only in all their sentience and mulitplicity of intelligences, but also in the diverse ways that they enrich, regulate and steward the entire Web of Life.

We acknowledge the pain and suffering we have caused them and use this time to learn to restore right and loving relationship with them.

We encourage animal lovers to create local events - circles of love and compassion for the animals during this time to amplify the collective field of consciousness co-creating a world of love, peace and reverence for all life.

 Prayer for the Animals

With profound shame and grief

we ask forgiveness for the

excruciating suffering

we have inflicted upon you for millennia

while you have sacrificed yourselves

in service of the evolution of consciousness

We thank you and honor you

for having selflessly taught us

the limits and limitlessness of our capacity for

compassion and cruelty

that result from being trapped in

artificial polarities between

good and evil

right and wrong

superiority and inferiority

mastery and slavery

birthed into being as humans

began to pursue

the consciousness of the

Tree of Knowledge and law

 severed from heart wisdom

and the vital intelligence

of the Tree of Life

We pray that we can now claim

the state of grace

that is the pure experience

of love and gratitude

towards you and all sentient beings

We now commit to learning from you

the principle of sacred relationship,

the secret of vitality,

that is the life enhancing balance

of mutual nourishment,

of giving and receiving

among all uniquely self-realized parts

of our interdependent whole

an invitation for rest and reflection

REFLECTION PRACTICES COMING SOON

7 days of rest:  meditations with the animals

During the First 7 Days of Rest, Jan 1 - 7, 2018 Animaltalk Africa organized a deeply inspiring webinar with 7 different animal communicators. Each day we listened in to the messages of the animals, expanding our understanding of the way in which they communicate with humans are willing to listen - and in doing so enrich our understanding of the world and our place in it as humans.

Wynter has kindly made these meditations available over the 7 Days of Rest and Reflection. You can find links on each of the days.

With deep gratitude to the animal communicators: Wynter Worshorne, Lorraine Turner, Safaya Salter, Elizabeth Asch, Kate Muller, Julie Lines and  Saskia Hopff who have generously offered their gifts to the 7 Days of Rest, and particularly to Wynter Worsthorne,  for initiating and organizing and stewarding this unique opportunity!

Wynter Worsthorne works closely with the Global White Lion Protection Trust.

You can find one of these meditations on each day of the calendar.
